Škoda AUTO

Škoda Auto, based in Mladá Boleslav, is one of the world's oldest car companies in the Czech Republic. The beginnings go back to 1895, when Václav Laurin and Václav Klement founded the company, which paved the way for a long tradition of Czech automobile industry. In Czech Republic Škoda Auto currently has around 36,500 employees including agency personnel. The Škoda brand has been part of the Volkswagen Group for more than 35 years. Škoda Auto operates three production plants in the Czech Republic; has production capacities in Slovakia, Kazakhstan and India, mostly through group partnerships, as well as in Vietnam and Ukraine in cooperation with a local partner;

• Belongs to the Volkswagen concern since 1991. Independently develops and produces components such as MEB battery systems, engines and transmissions for other Volkswagen Group brands;
• Employs around 40,000 people worldwide and is active in almost 100 markets.
